  1. Text Attributes
Use this option to change the color, size, or other font attributes Text One gif>

Change the size by clicking on the size box and moving down the drop down menu. The text in the window will change size as you select a size or color or attribute.

Click on the color tab to select the color of your choice. A small palette will open with basic colors, you can click on others button on the palette to see more choices.

Note: avoid using fonts that are not listed in the dropdown menu. Everyone may not have the font that you like. Their page will not load correctly if they do not have the font you list.

The Possible Attributes Tab gives you a check list of options. Choose the ones you want by clicking in the box next to them.

I avoid Blink and Definition, because they do not work in all browsers. Unless you really need to use an attribute with a browser listed next to it, avoid it. It will work in one browser but will cause load problems in other browsers. When you are done click okay.

If you have already typed some text, just highlight the text and click on text attribute icon. If you have not typed the text yet you can click on the text attribute icon and then type between the start and close commands.

Ace will insert the appropriate command tags for the options you choose.

  2. Header Attributes
These attributes create text in a style similar to word processors. With H1 being the largest size and H5 the smallest. Click on the Header icon and choose the size you want. The software will insert the commandsh gif everything between these two commands will be that size.

  3. Commands 2 gifBold, Underline, Italic

These commands give the usual effects. Ace will insert the
and everything in between will show the attribute.

  4. Page Alignment
As with word processing you may want to place some text in different alignments.
The choices are the normal ones:

This text is left aligned and I made it two lines long so that you would really see the effect of the alignment. Left aligned text will hug the left border and wrap irradically on the right side of the page, splitting at word breaks.

This text is center aligned and I made it two lines long so that you would really see the effect of the alignment. Center aligned text will center itself on the page with even distance between the edges of your page, it also splits at word breaks.

this text is right aligned and I made it two lines long so that you would really see the effect of the alignment. Right aligned text will hug the right border and wrap irradically on the left side of the page, splitting at word breaks.

this text is justified and I made it two lines long so that you would really see the effect of the alignment. Justified text will place extras spaces or half spaces between words so that the text appears to display evenly against both edges of the page.

  5. Preformatted
The PRE tag will cause blocks of pre-formatted text to display within a fixed-width type. It is generally used to place preformatted text within your html document. Highlight the text you want preformatted and hit the icon, the following tags will appear around your preformatted text. pre gif

  6. Blockquote
This tab with indent the entire block of text about 5 spaces on both sides. This is a display of unblocked text, if it becomes very long it may run into my border background and even in my tables it sometimes will bump up against the edge of my border background. Or partially fall of the page. I don't like to see that happen.
This is a display of blockquoted text, if it becomes very long it won't run into my border background and even in my tables it won't bump up against the edge of my border background or partially fall of the page. I like the look of this better.

The easiest way to blockquote your text is to highlight the text and then hit the blockquote symbol, the following tags will appear, your text will be between the start and end commands.blockquote gif

  7. Line Break
This command with cause line break it will place the following codebr gif  in your html. You can place one or more than one at any place that you want text to break. I use them to align my text that appears on the side of my graphics. Sometimes I place linebreaks before and after the text until it lines up where I want it on the page.

  8. Paragraph The P tag P tag gifwill separate your text into paragraphs and ensure that there is uniform blank space between paragraphs. Only an opening tag is required and will appear as p tag gif at the end of your text.

  9. Comment  Use the comment tags is used to place a note to yourself in the code. Everything you place between the tags (where my blue arrow is)will not appear to the viewer. This is a great way to make editing your page easier. I place it before and after my web ring code, banner links and such, it really makes it easy to find them when your page gets long.
When you hit the comment key ace will place the following on your page: comment gif

  10. Font Color Another way to add a little color
to your page. Click on the icon, choose the color of your choice, and click okay. The following command with appear in your codefont color gif
